News and Announcements
The evolving global pandemic has lead to many sports cancellations. Skiing has not escaped and all further races, including the Timmins Slalom Derby have been cancelled. This is unfortunate but we have to look out for each other and try to stay healthy for next season. Keep Active. Train hard. Wash your hands.
The Timmins Slalom Derby 2020 is coming next month! Preparations are well underway and the club is pumped. All the forms and resources are available on the Resource Page of our website. Hope to see you there!

Timmins Ski Racers (TSR) will be hosting the annual Slalom Derby at Kamiskotia Snow Resort (KSR). Racing is open to U14 and older; and select U12. There will be a cap on the maximum number of racers for this event. The Race Notice will soon be available on the resource page of our website.
Book your hotel stay early, to guarantee a room. The Captains Meeting Thursday evening (7pm registration & meeting starts 8pm) and Banquet Saturday will be hosted downtown at the Porcupine Dante Club, our local Italian club.
KSR has a thick snow base and the runs are in excellent condition, thanks to KSR’s hard working staff.
Be sure to mark your calendars for a fun and competitive event. TSR is looking forward to seeing new and returning racers, coaches, friends and certainly volunteers to help run the Slalom Derby.
An early opening to Kamiskotia Snow Resort means an early start to the training season for TSR. We will be on hill Saturday and Sunday starting November 30 and until we head to Mont Tremblant. Saturdays will start 12:30 or so, after morning dryland is complete. Sundays will be full days. Hill space is limited early in the season, so this will be drills and gateless training. It is a great opportunity to get used to new ski equipment and get some runs in before heading to Mont Tremblant.
