News and Announcements
The Annual General Meeting of the Timmins Ski Racers will take place via Zoom on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at 7PM. Membership invitations will be sent to all registered families. Please plan to attend.
Registration is almost here for the 2021-2022 race season. Come to the TSR chalet at the Mount Jamieson Resort this coming Sunday from 1-3 to register your athletes.
All the paperwork and forms are available on the Resource Materials page. Please read the information carefully and print off the forms to fill out and bring with you this weekend.
Updates to the TSR Covid protocol reflect the changes this season and the new protocol is also available on the Resource Materials page for your consideration. We remain guests of the Mount Jamieson Resort and are first and foremost subject to any additional safety precautions they see fit.
Welcome back skiers! TSR is excited to start the planning for the 2021-2022 ski and race season. A few important announcements:
- Registration will be taking place at the Timmins Ski Racers chalet at the Mount Jamieson Resort on Sunday, October 3 from 1-3pm. All of the registration forms are available on this website on the Resource Materials page or from any of the board members. Please print out the forms, complete them and bring them with you to registration.
- Covid 19 remains a concern and issue for the upcoming year though we are hoping it will have a significantly reduced impact on the ski season this year. We will still have protocols in place that may change based on guidance from the Public Health Unit. Our protocols are supplemental to all regulations in place by the Mount Jamieson Resort and strict adherence to Mount Jamieson protocols will be required.
- Our on site volunteer obligations at the Timmins Charitable Gaming Association will be restarting this fall in November. Volunteers will be required to have double vaccination as per the TCGA regulations. We are tremendously grateful to the TCGA for their ongoing support of our club throughout the lock downs over the last year.
Further communication to previous club members will be coming shortly. The AGM will likely be the third week of October and will again be a virtual format. Further details will be available after registration.
The Timmins Charitable Gaming Association operates the Jackpot City location for gaming and entertainment in Timmins. They remain committed to the community and support a huge range of clubs, teams and organizations through the distribution of the proceeds from gaming.
TSR would like to express our thanks for the ongoing support from the Timmins Charitable Gaming Association. The funds from TCGA allow the Club to keep our registration fees as one of the lowest in the province, making skiing and racing accessible to more local children.
The TSR AGM will be held at 7PM on October 21, 2020 via Zoom due to Covid restrictions. We have attempted to notify all club families but feel free to contact the board for the link if you wish to attend .
